Sex and love.............the topic which is probably the most popular one on most peoples minds. There is a definite separation between the two, but that there doesn’t have to be. Sometimes we just want to be physical, maybe we are protecting something more intimate and vulnerable within us. But I’ve been there before and i know that sometimes, you just wanna be physical. But the truth is, there is such a huge energy exchange when you have sex with someone. By nature, having sex is actually a spiritual and emotional event..........whether we are closed off to that, or not. It is a sacred act, as much as our modern world tries to portray it as something frivolous.

And where does love come in? Well i think love comes in when you are willing to be "open" and experience that spiritual component. To me, that is where sex and love meet. Because i can love someone, care for them, care about their well-being, enjoy their presence in my life.........and then if I have sex with them, it takes things to a deeper (no pun intended) level. That’s just my take on it. Whether it was a one time thing or a long term relationship.......it seems that sex and love take 2 people to a very sacred place where we get to experience this profound stuff. It’s the meat and potatoes of being a human being, in my opinion. And that’s exactly because of how not easy it is to take the shroud off of your heart and be open and be willing to surrender to love and to be vulnerable.........

What a delitefully insightful commmentary, and coming from such a stunnigly beautiful member of God's creations too! Pari, any man that gets to experience your love should definitely consider himself among the most blessed (if only we were closer in location and age). Having a couple of years on you, I can tell you first hand that love far out trumps purely physical sex. Making love does create a spiritual union between a man and women that can not easily be severed. Those who only have sex for the physical aspect miss out on this most wonderful life experience. Wishing you true love. Your admiring American friend.

I've heard many definitions and one of the most common is when you have sex you are pleasuring yourself and when you make love you giving pleasure.
I don't think that it is quite true because I know a lot of people that enjoy more giving pleasure than getting it.
I think making love is having sex with emotions attached to it. This means that you are actually creating a neuro-chemical bound with that other person. This has the objective bounding two persons together in order to ensure that if the female becomes pregnant the male will be by her side during that vulnerable period. The simple presence of the other person is enough to stimulate that chemical bound. It also has the power to make that person depressive when it doesn't get enough stimulation, just like a drug addiction.
This doesn't make love anything less the pure magic. this is just the reason behind it.
